Project GRAD Knoxville


In partnership with Knox County Schools, Great Schools Partnership and the communities we serve, our mission is to impact generational change through education. Our K-16 approach as a premier nationally recognized college/career program focuses on: (1) college/career access and success; (2) social services support, (3) family, neighborhood & community engagement, and (4) intentional support for disadvantaged students. We are a school-based K-16 initiative serving elementary/middle/high school ages through higher education as an additional layer of support for 14 KCS center city schools since 2001. As we serve students/schools/families we need general volunteers, mentors, tutors, volunteer listeners (listen to kids read), relate-able role models/examples of success, guest speakers (personal path, vocation, career), group/club support, sponsor collections of needed items, host or sponsor higher ed tours or career related 'back stage' visits that provide exposure/experience/awareness, and scholarship sponsorship. Opportunities available for long term commitments, short term, or one time!
