Snowflake Ball - Turn Kerbela into a Winter Wonderland

If reducing isolation or supporting seniors is important to you, help the Senior Companion program at the Snowflake Ball fundraiser!

What is the Senior Companion Program?

If you have ever heard of Peace Corps or AmeriCorps then you should be familiar with the sister program, Senior Corps, because all three are under the Corporation for National Community Service! Senior Companion volunteers complete national service hours by empowering seniors in our community to stay happy, healthy and independent. For a small stipend, Senior Companion volunteers provide transportation, daily wellness checks, and companionship.

What is Snowflake Ball?

Snowflake Ball is the largest fundraiser for the Senior Corps – Senior Companion program.

What will volunteers do?

Volunteers will be setting up the Kerbela temple for the Snowflake Ball. This will consist of climbing ladders (optional), working in teams moving tables, setting up chairs and hanging decorations. For break-down we will be loading materials into vehicles and cleaning the venue.

When do you need volunteers?

February 1; 10:00a-12:00p and/or
February 2; 8:30p-10:00p

How should volunteers dress?

Please wear casual clothes and closed toed shoes.
